Where to Post – All slack conversations should be in their corresponding Slack channel. It’s important for the team to be able to see the history of a project and be able to get up to speed quickly. If you have project conversations in direct messages with the rest of the team will not be up to speed on the state of the project.
How to Post – Think before you write. Craft a clear message and include any necessary supporting information or links needed. Remember that the teammate(s) you are writing to, probably don’t know everything you do about the question or topic you are writing about. Try to clearly explain yourself as best as possible.
When to Post – Write to your team when you have an update or need support.
- Don’t be afraid to ask for assistance. We are a team. We help each other to reach our common goal.
- Do think before you post. If you can find the answer to your question on your own, or with a little extra effort, try that first before you send a message.
